Minecraft’s World creation process is one of the best parts about the game. Every World is different, with what seems like an endless amount of possibilities. That said, each World needs its own identifier to stand out — a World Seed.
This guide will go over exactly how a World Seed works, including the differences between Bedrock Edition and Java Edition, as well as how to use the World Generation Browser to customize your generation.
What Are Minecraft Bedrock Seeds?
Minecraft Bedrock Seeds are not the food-planting items you think they are. Rather, they’re a set of characters that signify a Minecraft world as unique.
As you may know, there are close to infinite amounts of Minecraft worlds the game can generate through its world generation tool. Each one of them has a unique Seed, otherwise known as a World Seed.
When creating a world, a player can allow the game to randomly generate a World Seed, or they can input one themselves. A World Seed is made up of a set of randomized numbers, with each one generating the same World type every time a player enters it.
For example, if your friend inputs a World Seed of 192857663847, you inputting that same World Seed will generate the exact same World. That is, unless you’re playing a different version of the game. Different versions of Minecraft can generate a different World despite using the same Seed number.
As for for the “Bedrock” moniker of Minecraft Bedrock Seeds, Bedrock Seeds only work for players using Minecraft Bedrock Edition. Those using Minecraft Java Edition will get a different result when inputting a Seed Number.
This article will focus specifically on Bedrock Seed generation in Minecraft Bedrock Edition.
How To Input A Bedrock Seed
To input Minecraft Bedrock Seeds, you need to start a new World.
Begin by clicking Play on the Main Menu in Bedrock Edition, then click Create New atop the Worlds section.
From here, click Create New World. Then, click on Advanced to take a look at some more World options.
Now, you can view your World Seed or input one of the World Seeds you’ve found online, including the ones from this list. Otherwise, you can click on Templates to browse World Seed templates. These templates include spawning in the middle of a Desert World, an Ocean World, a world near Ruined Portals, or a Village World, amongst many other structures. You can even use the feature to spawn near a Stronghold!
Now, let’s get into some of the best Minecraft Bedrock Seeds you can find.
Minecraft Bedrock Edition Seeds
This article will cover Bedrock Seeds in version 1.21. Inputting these Seed numbers in another version of the game may give you different results, so be wary if you’re reading this at a later date. Of course, you can always use the game’s Previous Versions feature to return to this version.
We will also focus on Seeds that provide easy access to critical pre-generated structures.
Woodland Mansion Seed
This Woodland Mansion Seed is better than many other ones. After all, most Seeds spawn you near a structure, but still require you to travel for a bit. This Seed places you on top of the Woodland Mansion structure, meaning you only need to break a few blocks beneath the surface to get inside.
The seed is 165605352, and we can thank DigMinecraft for the recommendation.
Jungle Temple Seed
Jungle Temples are a bit older than some of the other structures we’ll mention in this article, but they’re still worth discovering — especially after starting a new World.
Inputting the Seed Number 4014 places you within a Jungle Biome, and moving a bit south east of your spawn will lead you to the stone Temple.
In fact, you can also dig below the Temple to find some Lush Caves, which are great for Glow Berries and a few other items.
Thanks to DigMinecraft for the Seed.
Ancient City Seed
Of all the structure locations in Minecraft, the Ancient City is one of the hardest to find.
An Ancient City is often found while exploring a range of cave systems, and are full of loot chests, Soul Lanters, Deepslate, and a few other unique blocks. They’re worth delving into, and using the Seed -6778246788154565662 will spawn you in a Terracotta Biome with a neat Island.
Simply dig downwards for a bit and navigate to the coordinates 113, -36, 136 to reach the Ancient City, which exists only in Deep Dark Biomes.
Pillager Outpost Seed
World Seed 300746916 will spawn you right near a Pillager Outpost. Once you spawn, simply look to the left a bit and you’ll see it across the water.
Our Outpost had an Iron Golem locked away, but different Outposts may spawn various other entities.
Trial Chambers
-5082156891300789959 will spawn you near one of Minecraft’s newest features — the Trial Chambers.
Trial Chambers are challenging dungeons that provide some of the rarest loot in the game. They’re the ultimate test for even the most seasoned of Minecraft players, and you should do your best to take these on.
You don’t need to travel too far to find a Trial Chamber here. You’ll need to dig downwards and get to 57, 6, 7, or somewhere near there to find the Chambers.
While you can always find a Map that will lead you to one of these Chambers, having a seed that spawns you next to one is a nice feature and saves you a ton of time that’s better spent having you explore.
Now that you’re aware of some really good Minecraft Bedrock Edition Seeds, it’s best to check out new landscapes, structures, and more with your buddies.
