How do I Craft a Decorated Pot?
Now that you know how to find Pottery Sherds for your Decorated Pots, we can now get to actually crafting them. We’ll be detailing for you below how to make Decorated Pots in Minecraft.
Step 1: Gather materials needed
The first thing you need to do is to gather your needed materials. Mainly, you’ll need Pottery Sherds, 4 Bricks, and a Crafting Table.

When it comes to finding Bricks, you’ll get this from smelting Clay Blocks into Bricks. These are often found in bodies of water such as Rivers and Oceans.

Mine as many Clay Blocks as you’ll need. You’ll get around two to four balls of Clay when you mine one block of it.
After collecting your Clay, you can then smelt these into Bricks. Simply add your Clay Balls into your Furnace, add a source of heat such as Coal or Wood then let your Clay smelt into Bricks.

Step 2: Place your ingredients on the Crafting Table
Once you’ve completed the materials you’ve needed, you can begin crafting your Decorated Pot.
Place your Crafting Table on the ground and open it by right-clicking. You can then place your Pottery Sherds and/or Bricks on the top-middle row, bottom-middle row, far left, and/or far-right middle column slots.

It’s also possible to use the recipe book from the Crafting Table’s interface. This will make it easier for you to automatically craft a Decorated Pot.

Step 3: Choose the designs you want on each face
Putting a Pottery Sherd on a crafting grid slot will make the design’s texture appear on one of the four faces of your Decorated Pot. The leftmost slot will be the front face of the pot.

Meanwhile, if you use only Bricks, your pot becomes a regular pot with no decorations.

You can pretty much make different patterns or have the same patterns on your Decorated Pot. This just depends on the Pottery Sherds you have.
Step 4: Craft your Decorated Pot
As you’ve finalized the design of your Decorated Pot, you can then get this in its fully-crafted form.

With that, you have your very own Decorated Pot.

If you want to change the design of your Decorated Pot after crafting it, all you have to do is break it with any tool you have and collect the sherds of your pot to redo your design.
Tips for Crafting Decorated Pots
All in all, Decorated Pots are based on the foundation of Pottery Sherds. You’ll have to prioritize collecting them if you want your pots to have designs on each face.
