One of the best parts of Minecraft is its ability to fuel your imagination. While there are all sorts of structured pieces of content, like fighting the Ender Dragon or taking on Ominous Vaults, sometimes part of the fun is simply building non-functional rooms that make you feel nice and cozy.
These rooms can come in many formats, such as a reading room, a bedroom, a living room, or you can go all out and build an aquarium or even an entire city. It’s really up to you to find some inspiration and use it to fuel some exciting Minecraft builds.
As for this article, we’ll be breaking down some Minecraft kitchen builds, serving as inspiration for your next build idea.
But before getting into things, understand that you’re going to have to get a bit creative here. After all, there are few items in Minecraft that actually function as real “kitchen equipment.” Instead, your imagination will be doing most of the heavy lifting.
Minecraft Kitchen Build Ideas
With that preamble out of the way, here are some good Minecraft kitchen ideas to get your brain thinking.
Modern Kitchen
This modern kitchen video by MCram is a choice start. It utilizes a largely black and white color scheme, with some other colors incorporated.

MCram’s build features white trap doors as oven doors, white Glass Panes as part of the cabinets, and a combination of white and black carpet littered throughout the space to create the counters and high chairs.
Finally, the creator uses a Cactus and what might be a Dry Sea Pickle for some additional flair. You’ve even got two Hoppers as the stove vents!

Simple Kitchen
Reddit user Vexxelville showed off a simple interior design layout here, featuring a combination of Barrels for cabinets, a Cauldron for a sink, a Tripwire for a faucet, Stone Fence Posts as a furnace vent above the Stove, and Spruce Trapdoors for some tasteful decoration.

Not only this, but Vexxelville takes advantage of Item Frames to give their creation a bit of extra definition. It’s a great build you can start with largely early game materials, and plan to upgrade as you progress through the game.
Cute Kitchen
Minecraft creator KoalaBuilds put together this cute kitchen template for you to follow.
It utilizes a Campfire with a Sign as a cute little chair, some Spruce Trapdoors for shelving, some Blast Furnaces as the stove with a Brewing Stand on top, and even an Armor Stand for good measure.

Then this build is completed with a piece of Scaffolding and a Flower Pot on top, replicating a table. If you’re one of those people who are new to creating a Minecraft kitchen, continue with this build to start out.
Cozy Kitchen
This cozy kitchen by Eli’s Art merges a few ideas into one. It starts by using Barrels for cabinets and Furnaces as the stove, alongside a Cauldron for a sink and a Tripwire as a faucet, which we’ve seen featured in other builds throughout this article.

However, this build stands out for its flooring and wall situation, as well as its more minor details.
To start, this cozy kitchen utilizes Note Blocks for flooring, giving it a bit of a checkered look. Then, it combines Brick with Polished Granite for some complementary reds and whites while surrounding the whole thing with some Spruce Trapdoors.
As for the smaller details, we’ve got a Cobblestone chimney, Powered Rails to give the Stovetop some detail, and random items like a Lantern, Brewing Stand, and a Stonecutter. You’ve gotta use some imagination for these items, as they’re not what you’d typically expect from a kitchen, but if you follow the guide, you’ll see that they add to the build rather than take away from it.
Dining Kitchen
This kitchen features a whole kitchen table alongside the rest of the expected accouterments. There’s a lot to get into here, so let’s get started.
Gorillo’s build uses Glass blocks as the table, with some slabs as the chair’s base. Then, it backs the slabs with Spruce Doors while outlining the table with Spruce Trapdoors.

From there, the creator uses Item Frames to decorate the table, alongside a Lantern and some plants. What makes his ideas stand out, however, is the aquarium underneath the table. He simply filled out a hole underneath it, loaded it with water, then spawned fish and other watery things inside.

Otherwise, the kitchen is fairly standard. It features a few Campfires as the Stove, covered by Birch Trap Doors, and whichever white block you want to use as countertops, along with some Black Wool for the fridge. A smart touch, the creator placed Capes on the fridge’s front side to give it a sort of flowy texture, which stands out from other creations on this post.
Luxury Kitchen
For our final Minecraft kitchen build, we’ll look at Lomby’s luxury approach to a Minecraft kitchen. There’s a lot to go over here.
To start, our creator uses Spruce Trapdoors as corner shelving, placing Cake and Item Frames with some pantry goods inside.

From here, this build uses the same chair ideas as the dining kitchen, only this one adds Banners to the chairs, giving them a “cushioned” look.
Then, he lines the kitchen with Polished Blackstone Bricks and Blocks of Quartz to contrast white and black. Next is a Minecart sink with our usual Tripwire faucet, and some creative uses of Glass Panes for decoration. There’s even a painting and some flower pots, with leaves on top of Dead Bushes to make them look like little trees!
Overall, it’s a very creative luxury kitchen build. Lomby even uses dead coral fans as a sort of carpet. This would be a great spot for a pet cat or dog to hang out while you eat!
With these kitchen ideas in mind, why not continue with this foundation and build your own Minecraft cooking space? Even better, bring some friends along to help out!
