I wanted to get a reservation for our anniversary on Thursday night at Rada in Charlotte on Resy, about 45 days out, and I kept opening the calendar to see if November 12 had appeared yet. Like most restaurants, usually you see they open reservations like 30-45 days in advance. I had to get a reservation for this night or my wife would not be happy!
You can refresh that page yourself for weeks, but it takes almost no setup to hand the watch to a Hermes agent and only get pinged when the night is actually bookable.
So in this walkthrough I point Hermes at Rada on Resy for a party of 4 on Thursday, November 12, 2026. You will get a daily check until that date shows as available, then a short message so you can book yourself.

What we’re doing
We are watching one Resy venue until a target night opens. Hermes checks the calendar for that restaurant, date, and party size, stays quiet while the night is still locked, then messages you when it becomes bookable.

What else can you do
The restaurant reservation portal doesn’t have to be Resy, it can really be any platform to monitor. Keep in mind, if you do ask it to book for you, you may have to login and I would also ask it to setup a calendar reminder for you to give you ample time to cancel without a cancellation fee (it can look that up too!)
What I learned
Places like Rada often open only about 14 days out, so a 45-day target needs a daily watch until the release day. Hermes on a NameHero VPS can babysit that Resy calendar without you refreshing, and you still decide when to book.
