In this blog post, we’re going to look at Palword’s fastest flying mounts. This guide will cover their movement speed, attacks, and locations.
How do I use flying Pals?
While finding and catching flying pals is the first step toward acquiring a flying mount, you can’t actually ride one until you create a saddle.
Saddles are specific to each flying mount and are unlocked via the technology tree once reaching the prerequisite level. For example, the Nitewing saddle recipe unlocks at level 15. Once you unlock a saddle recipe, you can craft it at a Pal Gear Workbench.
Upon equipping a saddle, you can use flying mounts to get around the world at various speeds. Flying mount pals can also attack enemies, and you can fire off weapons or throw Pal Spheres while riding them.
What is Palworld’s fastest flying mount?
The Palworld fastest flying mount is the end-game legendary Pal, Jetragon. Jetragon is arguably the game’s most difficult fight, but beating and capturing the beast nets you the peak of Palworld’s fastest flying mounts.
The fastest flying pals in Palworld
Nitewing
While your first flying mount is the capable Nitewing, it’s nowhere near the fastest flying mount. However, acquiring one will still increase your movement speed and improve your gameplay experience. Nitewing’s ride sprint speed (flight speed) is 750.
While Nitewing is all over the world map, the earliest you can find it is around the Rayne Syndicate Tower Entrance or Fort Ruins.
Nitewing attacks
Nitewing usually starts with its Air Cannon, Tornado, and Wind Cutter attacks, making it a fierce challenge against low-level Pals.
Part of the fun is attacking while riding this mount, battling with increased movement speed!
Vanwyrm
With a ride sprint speed of 850, Vanwyrm is only a bit faster than Nitewing. While a 100-point increase doesn’t seem like much on paper, it’s decidedly faster than the initial flying mount in practice. The Vanwyrm saddle is available at level 21.
Vanwyrm is found all over Mount Obsidian.
Vanwyrm attacks
Vanwyrm has its Spirit Fire and Ignis Breath attack at its lower levels. Eventually, it gains a few dark abilities like Dark Laser and Nightmare Ball to really pack a punch.
Suzaku
Suzaku is the first significant speed increase you’ll notice when it comes to flying mount Pals. This fire damage dealing creature has a ride sprint speed of 1,100 and is sure to hasten your world exploration.
You can only find Suzaku in the Sand Dunes on the map’s top right corner.
Suzaku attacks
Similar to Vanwyrm, Suzaku always begin with Air Cannon, Ignis Blast, and Spirit Fire. Its moveset diverges, though, as it increases in level. Suzaku grows to learn the powerful Flare Storm ability, and maxes out at level 50 with Fire Ball.
Helzephyr
Helzephyr boasts the same flight speed as a Suzaku, but you can find one much earlier via Hypocrite Hill — a spot just a little southwest of the Sand Dunes.
Helzephyr differs from Suzaku in that it’s a nocturnal creature, meaning you can only find them at night.
Helzephyr attacks
Once again a fire-type Pal, Helzephyr starts with Spirit Fire. However, this Pal’s dark side brings it some powerful abilities later on, such as Nightmare Ball and Dark Laser.
Beakon
Beakon represents the next incremental Pal speed at 1,200. It’s also the only electric-type flying mount Pal, meaning you can rain thunder down on enemies while soaring around, which is pretty cool.
Beakon are best found on the northeast side of the Sand Dunes.
Beakon attacks
As Beakon is the only electric type of all the flying mounts in Palworld, it’s got some standout attacks. Low level Beakon have Spark Blast and Shockwave, but leveling it up grants access to Lightning Bolt, Tri-Lightning, and even a Sand Tornado attack.
Ragnahawk
Ragnahawk is the third of the searing flying mounts and features a speed of 1300.
They’re easily found out west, on the far side of Mount Obsidian. You’ll want some heat-resistant armor before heading out there, though.
Ragnahawk attacks
Ragnahawk’s abilities are about the same as Suzaku or Helzephyr. It begins with Spirit Fire, Air Cannon, and Flare Arrow, but master Ragnahawk handlers can utilize Ignis Breath once it’s maxed out.
While its attacks are the same as other scorching mounts in Palworld, at least its faster movement speed counters Ragnahawk’s repetitive abilities.
Faleris
Faleris is the final of the blazing flying mounts and sports a ride sprint speed of 1400. It also has a unique ability in that Pals drop additional items when defeated by it.
Faleris is only found in one spot — the No. 3 Wildlife Sanctuary on the map’s northeastern corner, past the Suzaku’s Sand Dunes.
Faleris attacks
Faleris, once again, repeats many of the attacks that other high-heat flying mounts in Palworld have. This beast starts with Ignis Blast and Flare Arrow.
Over time, it will learn Phoenix Flare, Ignis Rage, and Fire Ball.
Frostallion
Frostallion is the last of the flying ice Pals in Palworld. It’s got a 1,500 ride sprint speed and powerful ice-based abilities.
Frostallion only exists as a boss fight high in the Land of Absolute Zero. Much like the heat resistance required for Mount Obsidian, you’ll need strong cold resistance to explore up here.
Frostallion attacks
Breaking away from the higher-level blazing mounts in Palworld, Frostallion brings a faster movement speed and a unique moveset.
The Pal’s early abilities are Ice Missile and Ice Cutter, but a powerful Frostallion knows Crystal Wing, Cryst Breath, and Blizzard Spike — raining powerful ice down from the heavens.
Jetragon
Jetragon is Palworld’s fastest flying Pal by far. The Jetragon’s ride sprint speed is nothing less than 3,300, more than double Frostallion’s.
Much like its ice-type counterpart, Jetragon is only available as a boss fight and is found up on Mount Obsidian — its Northwest corner, to be precise.
Jetragon attacks
While you’re not going to find a low-level Jetragon, know that once you catch it, you can use its basic abilities like Dragon Burst and Flare Storm. However, you’ll likely use its Beam Comet and Dragon Meteor skills.
Other Palworld flying mounts
While we’ve listed the majority of the flying mounts in Palworld, there are a few more to discover while playing. We don’t want to ruin all of the surprises, after all.
