Minecraft is full of biomes. It’s got the common biomes like Plains and the Desert, alongside rarer biomes like Cave biomes or Ocean biomes, amongst others.
This guide will tell you everything you need to know about the Snowy Groves biome, specifically. We’ll break down what the biome has inside of it, as well as which biomes may spawn nearby. With all of this in mind, you can plan out your builds while maximizing your use of the Snowy Groves biome.
Everything That The Snowy Groves Minecraft Biome Has To Offer
The Snowy Grove biome, also known as the Grove biome, is a versatile space full of unique offerings for you and your Minecraft world.

Let’s detail each part of the Grove biome.
Spruce Trees
The number one benefit to the Snowy Grove biome is its abundance of Spruce Trees.
If you aren’t aware, Spruce Trees provide a gorgeous dark flavor to the game’s Wooden blocks. While you can break the Spruce Trees into Planks, you can also use the Log format of the wood to give your builds an extra woodsman feel.

Sometimes, you may even come across giant Spruce Trees, which are trees made up of four blocks in a tower, rather than the single column of wood you’re used to seeing.
Snowy Slopes
While the Snowy Grove biome is a bit different from the Snowy Slopes biome, know that the Snowy Slopes biome generates next to the Snowy Grove just about every time. This means that if you find a Snowy Grove, know that the Snowy Slopes are nearby.

This biome differs from the Snowy Grove as it has way, way fewer Trees.
Jagged Peaks
Snowy Groves are full of jagged peaks, as they’re always a mountain biome. After all, a Grove is simply a set of trees alongside a mountain, which makes this snowy variant so special. Some even consider a jagged peaks biome as its own thing.

If you want to build on snow-covered peaks, this is the biome for you. Its Spruce Trees contrast beautifully with the powdery white element.
Frozen River
Many Snowy Grove biomes have a river running through them. Of course, because it’s a colder biome, the water is frozen. This is a great way to find Ice, if you happen to have a Silk Touch tool, as well as Ice Spikes within caves.

Snow Blocks
Of course, all snowy biomes are full of Snow blocks. You can dig these up to acquire Snowballs, which you can use to throw at your friends or to keep mobs away.

Snowy Mobs
The other best part about Snowy Grove is the snowy variants of mobs that spawn. For example, you can find the Snow Fox, the Snowy Wolf, and a Rabbit here. While you can find the Rabbit in other biomes as well, it’s fun to see it roaming around the snow.

Rabbits in snowy biomes are white or a mix of black & white, as opposed to the black and brown variants in other biomes.
Pillager Outposts
While not the only biome to offer these, Pillager Outposts appear in the Snowy Grove just as they do in other biomes like the Plains or the Desert.

As you may know, you can come across jailed Iron Golems or Allays when you find a Pillager Outpost, but saving them requires taking down a set of Pillagers. It’s the only way to free them.
Nearby Biomes
While not the Snowy Grove itself, many of the following biomes are known to spawn next to the Snowy Grove biome. Here’s a list of the most common.
Snowy Plains
The Snowy Plains biome is similar to the traditional Plains biomes, only it’s covered in the soft white material rather than just Grass. This is another biome where you can find Spruce Trees and powder snow, which you can dig up via a shovel.

Here, you can also come across the Igloo and even Polar Bears, which isn’t something you can say about other biomes like the Cherry Grove with its Cherry Trees.
Snowy Taiga
The Snowy Taiga biome generates unique structures like Trail Ruins, while displaying the typical snow biome offerings like Spruce Trees, Grass blocks covered in a layer of snow, berry bushes, and more. Foxes spawn naturally here as they do in other snow biomes as well.

Birch Forests
Here’s where we get away from the snow a bit. After all, the Birch forested biomes can generate next to the Snowy Grove as well.

As the name suggests, Birch Forests are full of Birch Trees, and sometimes even a bit of a flower forest in that they’ll have loads of Lilac, Roses, Lily of the Valley, Wildflowers, and Peonies, amongst other flowers.
Dark Forests
Alongside the Birch Forests, you’re bound to find Dark Forests near the Snowy Grove biome.
Dark Forests generate Dark Oak Trees, which provide you with the beautiful Dark Oak Planks. This forested biome is full of Oak and Birch Trees alongside the Dark Oak Trees, and you’ll also find giant versions of these trees while exploring.

Dark Forests are also home to the Woodland Mansion, which is a massive structure full of monsters and rare loot.

You’re now an expert in Snowy Groves and their surrounding biomes. With all of this information in mind, why not explore these biomes with your buddies and gather some Spruce, alongside other Wood types?
