Honey is a delicacy in the real world. It’s used to make all sorts of delicious recipes, and it’s great for allergies, too. It’s only fitting, then, that Honey is an essential resource in the game of Palworld.
This material is a key part of one special item in Palworld: the Cake. If you’ve been looking to create a Cake and can’t figure out how to get Honey, this guide is for you. We’ll cover everything you need to know about Honey, including what Honey does in Palworld, how you can acquire it, and how you can use it.
What Is Honey In Palworld
Honey is an ingredient in Palworld. If you’re unaware of what ingredients in Palworld are, they’re items that are required for crafting recipes — be those recipes food, structures, weapons, or other items.
In the case of Honey, you’ll use it to eat or to make Cake, which we’ll get into with the next section.
How To Use Honey In Palworld
There are two ways to use Honey.
The first way is to use it as a food item to satisfy your hunger. If you keep a Feed Bag on your character, you can place Honey in one of the slots, which will keep you and your Pals full. The other way is to use it in a Cake recipe.
To create a Cake in Palworld, you need the following ingredients alongside a Cooking Pot:
- Five Flour
- Eight Red Berries
- Seven Milk
- Eight Eggs
- Two Honey
Cake is a very important part of Palworld, as it allows you to start breeding Pals if you have a Breeding Farm.
If you place one Male and one Female Pal in a Breeding Farm and then place a cake in that Farm’s Chest, the pair will eventually create an Egg together.
This Egg will hatch into a new Pal, with the Cake being a vital part of that breeding experience. This is arguably the main reason you should start to produce Honey in Palworld.
How To Get Honey In Palworld
Now that we’ve discussed the importance of Honey production, let’s discuss how to get that sweet, tasty Honey in Palworld.
The easiest way to acquire Palworld Honey is to defeat Pals that drop it.
Which Pals Drop Honey?
There are only four Pals that drop Honey. The Warsect, the Cinnamoth, the Beegarde, and Elizabee. You’ll get Honey by defeating or catching these creatures.
Beegarde
Beegarde is a Bee-styled Pal that’s ultimately loyal to another Pal on this list: Elizabee. It often drops Honey if you defeat or catch it, and you can even use Beegarde to Farm Honey with a Ranch, which we’ll discuss later.
Beegardes can be difficult to catch or defeat, as they may start blinking and self-destruct when you get close. If this happens, you won’t get experience credit, nor will you get any Honey as a drop. It’s best to take these Pals down from a distance before that can happen.
This Pal’s Honey-based efficiency is due to its “Worker Bee” partner skill, which is an inherent ability that also increases Elizabee’s stats if they’re in the same party.
You can find Beegardes hovering around Verdant Brook — an area just North of the starting spot on Palpagos Island.
The player location shown above, at around coordinates 246, -166, is a good spot to look for Beegardes.
Cinnamoth
Cinnamoth is an orange, butterfly-looking Pal with poison abilities. In fact, its partner skill attacks enemies with the Poison Fog ability.
Cinnamoth Forest ranks amongst the best locations for Cinnamoth catching. Fortunately, this location has its own Fast Travel point at -69, -272.
Unlike the other creatures on this list, Cinnamoth will not attack you on sight. Instead, it will travel in groups and run if you get close. This makes it a pretty easy creature to capture, as you can throw a Pal Sphere at its back to get a back attack bonus.
Elizabee
Next, we have Elizabee. When paired with Beegarde, these two Pals are amongst the best Pals for any type of Honey Farm. This makes complete sense, considering they’re both based on Bees.
Complementing Beegarde’s partner skill, Elizabee’s partner skill increases her stats for every Beegarde that’s in the party. It looks like a five Beegarde, one Elizabee party is a viable strategy, after all!
You will often find Elizabee in the same spots as Beegarde, as the latter typically gathers around the former. Keep searching around Verdant Brook to discover them.
The Mossanda Forest Fast Travel point at 234, -118 is a good spot to find these creatures.
Warsect
The Warsect is a terrifying Beetle-like creature. It’s huge and will attack you unprovoked at any time. Capturing it creates a loyal buddy, however. Its partner skill increases your defense and gives your attacks a fire attribute.
The No.2 Wildlife Sanctuary is one of the best locations to find the Warsect, at coordinates 680, -113. It’s just north of Mount Obsidian.
Honey is the Warsect’s only drop.
Farm Honey
Now that you know how to farm Honey by grinding Pals, it’s time to learn how to farm Honey in the traditional sense.
Start by unlocking level five in the Technology Tree, something you’ve probably already done. Then, spend your Technology Points on the Ranch structure. Gather 50 Wood, 20 Stone, and 30 Fiber to craft it.
Once placed, you can instruct a Beegarde to work the Ranch. This will cause it to start gathering Honey. Over time, it will produce Honey that you can grab and use for whatever you’d like. It’s the most passive way to get Honey in Palworld.
Now that you’ve learned all there is to know about the most vital resource for making a Cake, why not take on some Beegarde hordes with your friends?
