Web Hosting vs. Reseller Hosting – Which Do You Need?

Decisions, decisions!

What type of web hosting account do you need for your business?

At Name Hero we offer two main types of Cloud Web Hosting accounts:

  • Basic Web Hosting
  • Reseller Hosting

Of course we have our VPS hosting packages as well, but those are for individuals and companies looking for their own server.

Basic Web Hosting

Our basic web hosting packages have been designed specifically for small to mid-sized businesses or individuals primarily looking for web hosting for one website.

Since each package only comes with “one” cPanel, it’s not recommend hosting multiple websites for multiple clients in these packages:

You can only host one website with the Starter package.  This is what I recommend to individuals starting their first blog.  I don’t recommend this package for small businesses.

The Plus package is our best selling web hosting package.  It allows you the ability to host unlimited “addon domains” and I recommend this for the majority of small businesses that signup with us.

Our Business package is for individuals and businesses that need more resources, file limits, etc. for their website.  Typically these are websites that are to big for “traditional” web hosting but not quite big enough for their own VPS.  A great option for those mid-sized businesses.

Reseller Hosting

Just because we include the word Reseller, doesn’t mean you have to be reselling web hosting.  If you’re in need of hosting for multiple domains, such as affiliate marketers, then a Reseller account is right for you.

Basically it’s a step down from a VPS and you have the ability to create unlimited cPanel accounts:

If you’re just in need of multiple website hosting go with the Startup package.  It comes with everything you need and you can upgrade at anytime.

For those of you actually wanting to Resell Web Hosting then you need to go with the Corporate package.  Hands down it’s the best for any startup as it comes with a free WHMCS plus license.  This alone would cost you $18.95/month!

Finally we have our Entrepreneur package for those in the middle.  If you don’t need a WHMCS license, but need a bit more space and bandwidth this is the package for you.  A lot of our larger Corporate Resellers will have a couple of these for additional clients!

Feature Rich

At Name Hero we pride ourselves on being very feature rich for all our accounts.  We include things that normal web hosts don’t such as LiteSpeed web server, Maria DB, Cloudflare (w/Railgun), Free SSL certifications, Free Nightly Backups, etc.

All of our hosting packages are built on top of our private cloud therefore speed is never an issue.  Therefore when choosing an account with us, the main difference is what is right for your business.  All of our packages are built with performance, reliability, and security taken into consideration.

If you have any questions or would like a consult prior to purchasing please reach out to our Sales desk and let us know!

    Hi Ryan,
I was searching google today to see if I could find some advice on website hosting providers and came across your page . I scrolled down the page and found your informational video explaining the differences between hosting and reseller hosting and watching this has opened my eyes to hosting my many domains I have managed to acquire. A few of my domains I was thinking of building the sites for with different hosting providers now I can service them all in one place. I have also decided to offer hosting not to just my domains but now as an additional service to my Imptb clients.
Thank you for the sharing this awesome material.
