When I launched NameHero in 2015, we focused heavily on the Reseller Hosting market as many of the “big brands” had been acquired and had seemed to lost focus in helping Resellers become successful.
It’s never too late to start a Reseller Hosting business!
What Is Reseller Hosting?
Reselling web hosting essentially allows you to purchase a large allotment of space, bandwidth, and server resources giving you the ability to create unique hosting packages to offer to your customers.
This is very beneficial for website developers, digital marketing agencies, and other entrepreneurs, as it provides a channel of recurring revenue increasing the lifetime value of your customer base.
For example, if you setup a website for a customer, they pay you for the service, you’re onto the next lead to generate additional revenue. Reselling hosting gives you the opportunity to provide an essential service along with your personalized website design.
Additionally, if you’re a digital marketing agency helping a small-business setup their Facebook, Twitter, and other social media channels, providing them with a web hosting package allows you to maximize your revenue by offering a service that they’re also going to need.
How Is NameHero Different?
In late 2014 I noticed not only had the “big brands” lost interest in Resellers, but outside of providing disk space and bandwidth, their feature offering was minimal and most-of-the-time nonexistent.
Therefore at NameHero we not only provide the essential disk space and bandwidth, but all the tools necessary to create a successful web hosting offering for your clients.
High Speed Cloud Hosting
To start, we operate our proprietary private high-speed cloud that utilizes the best hardware available on the market including Solid State Drives (SSD) protected by Raid 10, LiteSpeed web server (up to 20x faster than standard Apache), Free and automatic SSL certificates, 1-Click WordPress Installs/Staging, free nightly/weekly offsite backups, and much more!
If you’re not technical, consider it like buying a Mercedes-Benz vs. a Honda. While they’re both cars and can get you from one place to another, the Mercedes is going to smoke the Honda in a race and it’s going to provide a much smoother ride (not to mention turn some eyeballs).
That’s the difference your customers are going to notice if they’re currently getting their website hosted at one of the “big brands” such as GoDaddy. The majority of these companies are in the business of high ROIs to appease investors where at NameHero we’re trying to do something different by creating an extraordinary experience and an affordable rate.
WHMCS Billing Automation
While our high-speed cloud loaded with features is awesome, it’s useless unless it’s easy for our Resellers to setup their customers in a way that’s simple and scalable.
Understanding this demand we’ve formed a strong partnership with the crew over at WHMCS who provide a full-blown billing and automation platform for web hosts allowing you to setup your website and within an hour be able to accept customer payments, setup their hosting account, and easily have access to your services.
Before you start to worry that you’re going to have to spend hours installating complicated software, I want to assure you, that’s not the case.
We’ve setup a 1-Click WHMCS installer in our client area where it’s as simple as typing in your company name, inputting some information about your business, and clicking install to have everything deployed in just a couple of minutes.
Resell Domain Names
With web hosting covered, what about offering your customers domain names, like GoDaddy, NameCheap, and many other brands? We have that covered as well.
We offer all of our Resellers are complimentary domain reseller account where you’re able to register/transfer domains at a wholesale cost and then add a markup to your customers so they can buy everything through you.
No longer will your audience have to go to multiple websites/companies in order to have their website and domain name fully online.
This domain reseller account also “plugs into” WHMCS so the entire process is automated.
100% White-label Hosting
Your customers will never know you’re Reselling NameHero’s platform. From your web hosting packages to your domain registrations/transfers everything will be done through your company. Your customers will pay you directly and you will interact with them. It’s your OWN business on our platform – to keep it simple!
How Easy Is It To Get Started?
It’s personally been my goal to not only make our service offerings here at NameHero like nothing else in the industry but to also make it “guru free” meaning you don’t have to know anything about coding and servers to get started.
Over the last five years I’ve had the unique opportunity to watch thousands of Resellers across the globe get started and achieve success through our platform.
Nothing brightens my day more when I get that email about the next success story!
If you’re willing to follow some simple directions and put in the effort you can be a successful Reseller. I consider web hosting the “water of the Internet” as it’s the most essential service around to having a website. With everyone nowadays walking around with the Internet in their pocket, the number of opportunities are endless.
How To Get Started With Reseller Hosting
Step 1: Select a Reseller Hosting package
Our Gold, Platinum, and Diamond packages include WHMCS, therefore you need to select one of these. Personally, I would start with the Platinum as it provides the best opportunity for growth.
Step 2: Install WordPress For Your Main Website
As mentioned, some Resellers already have an active website for their company, but if you don’t WordPress is an easy way to create one, and I’m going to show you below how to make a really professional looking one.
Step 3: Install WHMCS Automation
Inside the NameHero client interface, you’ll find a link to cPanel where you can instantly install WHMCS. As long as you’ve purchased a Gold, Platinum, or Diamond package, you can obtain the key for free inside our client area.
Step 4: Configure To Your Business
Immediately after installing WHMCS, you’ll be brought to a setup wizard where you can specify your company name, how you’d like payments, as well as define and setup your unique hosting packages and domain TLDs.
Bonus: WordPress Expert Darrel Wilson
As an added bonus, I’ve teamed up with WordPress expert Darrel Wilson who is going to show you how to easily incorporate WordPress into your WHMCS installation with a professional looking design that’ll really help your business standout.
