Palworld fast travel locations are the fastest way to get around the world. Upon discovering one, you can return to it any time — a great way to grind specific Pals or gather materials. Like many of our Palworld guides, this guide will cover everything you need to know about fast traveling in Palworld, detailing everything from how to find fast travel points to building your own.
How To Fast Travel In Palworld
While other open world games may allow fast travel from anywhere on the map, Palworld is not one of those games. In Palworld, you must walk up to a fast travel point and interact with it to use the feature.
How To Unlock Fast Travel Points In Palworld
There are a few types of fast travel points in Palworld. Some you must work to unlock, while others work by simply interacting with the point.
Unlock fast travel point locations via great eagle statues
Great eagle statues are the game’s most common fast travel point locations. You’ll find great eagle statues anywhere from the Sea Breeze Archipelago to Eastern Wild Island to Ice Wind Island and everything outside or in between. If you’re exploring and don’t find a point right away, there’s certainly one nearby.
The easiest way to spot great eagle statues is via their orange auras.
Once found, simply walk up to the great eagle statue and interact with it.
If you’ve successfully interacted with the eagle statue, you’ll receive a pop-up reading Unlocked Fast Travel, as well as a technology point. The eagle statue will also turn blue.
From there, you can interact with the great eagle statue to fast travel to other unlocked locations in Palworld, as well as use it to come back to this point at any time.
When you interact with a great eagle statue, your map will appear. That map will show all great eagle statue locations you’ve unlocked so far, alongside your base locations.
To fast travel, hover over one of these icons and select it.
A confirmation pop-up will appear. Select Yes, and you’ll appear in the area after a short loading screen.
Unlock fast travel point locations via Palbox
A Palbox is one of the first fast travel locations in Palworld you can use, automatically unlocking once they’re placed. Through a Palbox, you can travel to every other point you’ve unlocked.
To fast travel with a Palbox, walk up to it and select the Fast Travel option. Then, choose one of your unlocked points via the map.
Unlock fast travel point locations via towers
Towers are one of the less common fast travel locations in Palworld. However, they’re one of the more useful points as they’re often in the middle of different regions.
Yet, you can’t walk up and activate a tower like you can other points, such as a statue or a Palbox. Instead, you must fight the tower’s boss to unlock it.
Tower fights are some of Palworld’s most challenging content, so come prepared with powerful weapons, armor, and Pals.
To enter a tower, walk up to it and start the instance. If you have friends with you, they must manually join the instance as well. Once everyone is ready, interact with the tower again to enter the boss fight.
After defeating the boss, you’ll appear on top of the tower, and you can unlock it as a fast travel location.
Using the Homeward Thundercloud
The Homeward Thundercloud transports you to your closest base upon use. While the item doesn’t unlock a fast travel point like many other objects in this article, it does allow you to travel from anywhere in the Overworld.
You can unlock the Homeward Thundercloud through the Technology Tree after you reach level 30. The recipe requires two Ancient Technology Points; you need one Dazzi Cloud, five Electric Organs, and two Ancient Civilization Parts to craft it. When you’ve acquired the recipe and its required items, you can craft it at a High Quality Workbench or a Production Assembly Line.
That said, you cannot use the Homeward Thundercloud in dungeons or in other instanced activities.
How To Create Your Own Fast Travel Point Locations
Believe it or not, you can create your own fast travel locations in Palworld using a Palbox. That is, if your base level is high enough to allow another one.
As you complete base missions to increase your base level, you’ll unlock the ability to build another base. Once unlocked, you can build that base almost anywhere on the map and use it as a fast travel point.
To build a base, gather one Paldium Fragment, eight wood, and three stone. Travel to where you’d like the base, open the build menu, and place it. Then, build it by holding the interact button.
Now you have another fast travel point. As you continue to upgrade your base level, you’ll unlock the ability to build more bases, resulting in even more custom fast travel points. The only downside is you can’t have an unlimited amount of bases. As of this writing, you’re allowed a second base at base level 10 and a third base at base level 15.
How To Find Fast Travel Points
Search for towers
You should have no trouble finding towers in Palworld.
Depending on your Journey progression, you may need a tower visit to progress. If your Journey tab mentions a tower, it should appear on your map.
Make your way over, defeat the boss, and you’ll unlock it as a fast travel point. This isn’t to mention all of the fast travel points you’ll find along the way.
Explore the unknown map
If you’re struggling to find new fast travel points, try soaring around with a flying mount. Travel to the edge of your known map, get on your mount and explore. You’re sure to find a point or two. Looking for a challenge? Try and find the twin knights point!
