A Journey Ten Years in the Making
Back in August 2014, I launched NameHero under the name DNSHero.com to manage my personal domain investments more efficiently. I figured if I was having issues managing hundreds of domains, others were likely facing the same challenge. This initial concept led to the birth of NameHero.
On New Year’s Day 2015, I made a pivotal decision: I purchased the NameHero.com domain and expanded into web hosting. From the start, my focus was on delivering exceptional customer service. I answered every ticket and live chat myself in those early days, determined to create a company that never lost sight of its customers as it grew.
Building a Team of Superheroes
As the demand grew, I sought out seasoned professionals to help carry the mission forward. Our first team member, Paul Owens, brought invaluable experience from the UK, helping us serve our first surge of 100+ customers. Later, Mark Muyskens joined to head weekend phone support, often working tirelessly to ensure no customer was left waiting.
To handle the growing demand, Abhilash Thottathil joined us in 2017, quickly becoming an integral part of our support team. His dedication to customer satisfaction has helped shape the standards we uphold today. In 2018, we added Arun Paul, whose leadership and expertise in web hosting support solidified our infrastructure. Today, Arun serves as our Director of Engineering, overseeing the development of our Kansas City Data Center (KCDC), which has become the backbone of our operations.
