Over the years I’ve had the opportunity to use many different WordPress themes for multiple sites.
From helping my brother with his sports entertainment websites to my blog here on Name Hero, I have plenty of experience developing websites in multiple niches.
Without a doubt, my favorite framework to use is Genesis by Studio Press.
What Is Genesis Framework?
The Genesis Framework empowers you to quickly and easily build incredible websites with WordPress. Whether you’re a novice or advanced developer, Genesis provides the secure and search-engine-optimized foundation that takes WordPress to places you never thought it could go.
They also tout the following benefits:
- Theme Options – Use options to get up and running in minutes and start customizing your new site with just a few clicks of the mouse.
- Custom Page Templates – Choose from a selection of pre-made templates to build your site: Default, Archives, and Blog Page.
- Theme Customizer – The theme customizer allows you to tweak the theme’s settings, colors, and content and see a preview of those changes in real time.
- Featured Content Widgets – Build up your site with featured posts, featured page, and user profile widgets that you can set to fit your site.
- Customizable Header – Upload your own logo with the press of a button. Full support for text-based logos for those just getting started.
- Mobile Responsive – This theme is mobile responsive, meaning your website will be perfectly optimized for every browser, device, and screen size.
Beginner Friendly WordPress Theme
One of the main reasons why I enjoy their framework so much is it’s beginner friendly. If you’ve never built a WordPress website before in your life, you can easily follow their directions to create a beautiful website.
On the flip side, the framework is also extremely developer friendly, so you can also have your site professionally and uniquely designed for a more customized look.
Personally, I’ve done both, making Genesis my WordPress go-to.
Multiple WordPress Themes
Along with their Genesis Framework, Studio Press also offers many “pre-designed” themes that operate off the framework.
From simple blogs to complex news websites, they have one for almost anything:
You’ll see my current blog design for NameHero on here and notice it’s very easy to customize.
How To Install Genesis Framework
Another tremendous benefit to using the Genesis Framework, is it doesn’t take all afternoon to setup. With a couple of clicks you can have it installed and ready to start building within five minutes. I’ve recorded a video tutorial that shows how to do this step-by-step:
Unlike a lot of other WordPress themes, the group at Studio Press actively keeps updates rolling out to help keep your website safe and secure.
Congrats to the entire team for developing a fantastic product that I highly recommend! Please note myself nor NameHero were compensated in anyway for this post; it’s solely my opinion from my experience!
