Palworld can be intimidating. It asks you to gather all sorts of crafting ingredients, requiring you to travel all around the world. These materials culminate in the Pal Metal Ingot — easily the game’s rarest and most challenging material to craft. If you’re wondering how to find Pal Metal Ingots and how to produce as many as possible, this guide has you covered.
What Is The Palworld Pal Metal Ingot?
The Pal Metal Ingot is a late-game material required for powerful weapons and armor. Acquiring in bulk can be a pain, but the effort pays off once you create weapons that fend off anything.
What Can I Make With The Palworld Pal Metal Ingot?
The Pal Metal Ingot is a core ingredient in all sorts of crafting recipes. Here are a few of the most popular ones.
Pal Metal Helm
The Pal Metal Helm is a high-level piece of defensive headgear. You’ll want one of these before tackling end-game content.

This legendary Pal Metal helmet costs 20 Pal Metal Ingots and 20 Paldium Fragments, and you can unlock the recipe at level 46 in the Technology Tree. It costs four Technology Points.

Also, you can only build one with a Production Assembly Line II — the High Quality Workbench isn’t enough here.
Pal Metal Armor
Pal Metal Armor unlocks at level 46 in the Technology Tree, costing you four technology points.
It’s another expensive piece, requiring 20 Pal Metal Ingots, 20 Leather, and four High Quality Cloth. That said, it boasts 220 defense which is super helpful during later game boss fights.

Finally, you can only craft this set at Production Assembly Line II.
Heat Resistant Pal Metal Armor
While the normal Pal Metal Ingot armor is great for most fights, it’s not great at heat resistance. In turn, you’ll need the heat-resistant version when entering higher-level fiery areas, such as Mount Obsidian.

This set provides 250 defense and unlocks at Technology Tree level 48 for five Technology Points. It also requires the Production Assembly Line II to craft and asks for 30 Pal Metal Ingots, 30 Leather, six High Quality Cloth, and 16 Flame Organs.
Cold Resistant Pal Metal Armor
Opposite the heat-resistant armor is its cold-resistant alternative. This piece grants the same amount of defense and asks for the same ingredients — only swapping the Flame Organs for Ice Organs.

However, this piece unlocks at level 50 in the Technology Tree. It costs five Technology Points and requires a Production Assembly Line II for crafting.
Rocket Launcher
One of Palworld’s strongest weapons is the Rocket Launcher. It unlocks at Technology Tree level 49 and costs five Tech Points.

This weapon costs 75 Pal Metal Ingots, 30 Polymer, and 50 Carbon Fiber. You can only build it at the Weapon Assembly Line II, but the effort is worth it, considering this launcher deals 10,000 attack damage.
Note: The launcher’s ammo requires one Pal Metal Ingot and five gunpowder per rocket.
Legendary Sphere
The Legendary Sphere is Palworld’s highest-level capture sphere and is necessary to catch the highest-level Pals.
You can unlock the sphere’s recipe at level 44 in the Technology Tree, costing you five Technology Points. That, and you can only craft it via a Sphere Assembly Line II.

Each sphere is quite expensive, requiring ten Paldium Fragments, five Pal Metal Ingots, three fiber, and five Cement. These items quickly add up, so make sure to hoard them if you want a lot of spheres.
How To Craft Pal Metal Ingot?
You can’t craft Pal Metal Ingot without an Electric Furnace, which unlocks at level 44 in the tech tree and costs five technology points. The Electric Furnace crafting recipe calls for 50 Refined Ingots, 10 Circuit Boards, 20 Polymer, and 20 Carbon Fiber — all materials that are difficult to gather in their own right.

After building the Electric Furnace, you’ll still need the proper materials to smelt a Pal Metal Ingot.
What Does a Pal Metal Ingot Cost?
Fortunately, smelting the Pal Metal Ingot is the cheapest part of the entire process. Each Ingot only requires four ore and two Paldium Fragments. Both of those raw materials are fairly easy to find in the world, and you can establish ore farms to speed up the gathering process.

Once you’ve gathered the materials needed to craft Pal Metal Ingots, interact with the Electric Furnace and set the number of Pal Metal Ingots you’d like to smelt. Then, click Start Production.
Unfortunately, you can’t craft Pal Metal Ingots by yourself like you can many other items. Instead, the Electric Furnace needs a Pal with the kindling skill to heat it up.

Ideally, you’ll use a Pal with a kindling skill of three or four, as creating a Pal Metal Ingot takes a long time. Higher kindling skills speed up that time incrementally.

You can build structures within your base to speed up the Pal Metal Ingot process.
How to quickly gather ore
Besides building an ore farm out in the wild, you can farm it within your base by building an Ore Mining Site structure.

This structure becomes available in the Technology Tree at level 15 and costs two Ancient Technology Points.

After you unlock its recipe, the Ore Mining Site costs 50 stone, 25 Ingot, and 33 Paldium Fragments. When you place it down, your mining Pals will mine it whenever they have free time.
How to quickly gather Paldium Fragments
The fastest way to generate Paldium Fragments is to build a Crusher. The Crusher converts stone to fragments and is accessible pretty early on.
You can find the Crusher in the Technology Tree at level eight. It costs two Technology Points.

Building a Crusher is cheap, too, costing only 50 Wood, 20 Stone, and ten fragments.
Once built, interact with the Crusher and decide how many fragments you’d like to craft. Then, select Start Production.

Similar to the furnace, you cannot manually contribute to Crusher production. You need a Pal with the Watering skill to do so.
