Palworld, as is the case with many survival games, is all about gathering groups of materials and combining them to create something better. This is how you get better weapons, better base structures, better armor, and better… Cake?
That’s right — combining a set of ingredients will net you Cake in Palworld. If you’re looking to get Cake, this guide covers everything. We’ll not only break down what Cake does for you, but we’ll also discuss how to make it and how to find its various ingredients, amongst other things. Let’s get into it.
What Is Cake In Palworld?
Cake in Palworld is a valuable ingredient that not only restores the Sanity of your Pals if eaten, but one that also allows you to breed Pals via a Breeding Farm.
The Palworld Cake recipe is one you need a lot of smaller ingredients for, which we’ll get into a bit later.
How To Use Cake In Palworld
There are two ways to use Cake in Palworld. Let’s break them down.
For Breeding
If you’d like to breed Pals in Palworld, you need a Breeding Farm and a Cake.
Breeding Farm
You can unlock a Breeding Farm at level 19 in the Technology Tree. You can craft it from there with 100 Wood, 20 Stone, and 50 Fiber. Nothing super intensive.

Once placed, you must assign two Pals, one male and one female, to the Farm. Then, you’ll need a Cake and some free time. Place the Cake in the nearby Chest, and the Pals will automatically start eating it.

When all three of these breeding ingredients are together, your Pals will work to create a healthy Egg. You can then place that Egg in an Incubator, and it will hatch into a Pal!
Note that while Cake will last for a very long time in a Breeding Farm, it will eventually run out. You can see if your Pals are content eating the Cake by examining the status bar.

For Eating
If you frequently interact with your Pals, you’ll notice that you can feed them various items. These can be Medicines, Honey, Berries, or other foods. It can also be Cake!
Feeding your Pals Cake will restore their hunger as well as restore their Sanity. This is important, as Sanity goes down as Pals work around your base.
To feed your Pals, have the food in your Inventory. Then, walk up to them, press 4, and select Feed on the subsequent wheel. From there, click on the food item, and you will feed it to them.

How To Get Cake In Palworld
Getting a Cake in Palworld first requires you to place a Cooking Pot.
Start by unlocking the Cooking Pot at level 17 in the Technology Tree.

Then, place the Pot by creating it with 20 Wood, 15 Ingots, and three Flame Organs. You can find Flame Organs by defeating Fire-type Pals.
Once placed, interact with the Cooking Pot to view the Cake recipe.

As you can see, a Cake requires five Flour, eight Red Berries, seven Milk, eight Eggs, and two Honey.
Here’s how to acquire these ingredients.
Flour
To start producing Flour, unlock the Mill by reaching level 15 in the Technology Tree.
Build the Mill with 50 Wood and 40 Stone. Then, assign a Pal with the Watering Work Suitability to it.

Next, create a Wheat Plantation by unlocking it at Tech Tree level 15 and placing it with three Wheat Seeds, 35 Wood, and 35 Stone.

Assign some Farming Pals to the Wheat Plantation, and you can use that Wheat to produce Flour at the Mill.

Red Berries
You can buy Red Berries from a Wandering Merchant, grow them via a Berry Plantation, or harvest them from the various Red Berry Bushes around the world.

Unlock the Berry Plantation at Tech Tree level 5, and build it using three Berry Seeds, 20 Wood, and 20 Stone.

Milk
You can buy Milk from a Wandering Merchant or use the Ranch with a Mozzarina assigned to farm the ingredients. Defeating or catching Mozzarina will also net you some Milk.

To start, unlock your Ranch at Tech Tree level 5. Then, build it with 50 Wood, 20 Stone, and 30 Fiber.

Assign the Mozzarina to your Ranch, and it will slowly start farming Milk.

Eggs
Similar to the Milk, you can buy Eggs from a Wandering Merchant or by assigning a Chikipi to the Ranch.

Of course, you can catch or defeat Chikipi to get Eggs as well.

Honey
Finally, we have Honey.

You can only gather Honey in a few ways: either assign a Beegarde to a Ranch, or defeat/catch one of the following four Pals:
- Warsect
- Beegarde
- Elizabee
- Cinnamoth
Wandering Merchants also sell Honey, but creating a Cake Farm with the Ranch and its relevant Pals is more fun.

Once you’ve got a particularly healthy Egg from the Farm, place it in an Incubator.

All of this said, there’s another very difficult way to get Cake. You can catch or fight Lovanders.
If you’re not already aware, a Lovander is a heart-themed Pal that roams around at night. You can find them roaming anywhere in the game’s two Deserts. The downside? It only has a 1% chance of dropping Cake.
