Once again, it’s time to make sure your installations of WordPress are upgraded!
If you’re using automatic updates you should have received an email this morning confirming the update has been applied to each of your installs. If not, you will want to login and go to Dashboard → Updates and simply click “Update Now.” As a precaution we always recommend taking a backup locally of your files and database.
The update to WordPress 4.2.4 addresses six issues, including three cross-site scripting vulnerabilities and a potential SQL injection that could be used to compromise a site.It also includes a fix for a potential timing side-channel attack and four bug fixes. A complete listing is available on their official website.
If you have any trouble or would like our support team to apply the upgrade for you (and backup your files) please open a new support ticket and we’ll help you out. Any other questions can be added to the comments below!
