For the past several years, I’ve been sitting down in December and planning out new goals to make the next year even better.
Rather than just saying “I want to make more money” or “I want to grow my businesses” I actually set goals on how I can improve in these categories:
One of my good friends and former business partner and I used to always say “how you are in life is how you are in business.” If you’re off in just one of these categories, it’s likely to have an impact on the others.
For example, if things aren’t good with your spouse/significant other, how can you expect to get up and give 120% to working? If the mind isn’t focus, results are going to be lackluster.
If you’re out of shape and have trouble sleeping – how are you supposed to perform against the younger generations? Even if you are in shape and sleep great – how can you be even better?
Reflecting back on 2016, I’ve accomplished a lot of my goals, but still have room to improve in every category!
While I’ve consistently exercised five days a week for the last year and four months, I want to continue while improving my diet. I’ve cut out vaping and alcohol but still need to eat less saturated fats and starchy foods.
Obviously I want to creating more business but most importantly I want to spend more time with my beautiful life and my family. They mean much more to me than anything this world has to offer!
