Since launching our all new VPS hosting packages last month, we’ve had a lot of pre-sale questions with potential customers asking which is best for their business.
This is actually a very good question that you should ponder if you plan on offering web hosting.
Reseller Hosting
Our Reseller hosting packages are built on top of our private cloud and are loaded with features such as LiteSpeed web server, MariaDB, CloudLinux, PHP selector, etc.
We have specifically developed these packages for WordPress developers and other webmasters that have clients using the WordPress platform.
For the majority of potential customers, our Reseller packages are a great starting point. As long as the websites you plan on hosting are receiving an average amount of daily traffic (not tens of thousands), you’ll be able to obtain the best return on investment from these packages.
If you’re a new reseller host, these are hands down your best bet to get going.
VPS Hosting
If you require greater flexibility or need more resources, then our VPS hosting packages maybe a better option.
For example, if you have a customer that is reaching over 5,000 unique visitors a day or using more than 100,000 inodes (files), they would probably be best placed on a VPS alone or only with a couple of other websites (depending on how much RAM and disk space they require).
Unlike our Reseller hosting packages, if you wish to have features such as LiteSpeed web server and CloudLinux with PHP Selector, then you have to pay each respective licensing fee.
Our Level 3 support team is more than happy to install and configure all of this for you, you’ll just have to purchase each license as you sign-up.
Scaling With NameHero
Unlike other hosting providers, our entire infrastructure is built on our high-speed cloud. Meaning you can start with our Reseller hosting package and then scale as your business grows.
For example, you may decide to start with our Corporate Reseller package, but have a customer that has a website that begins to get a lot of traffic. Our support team can help you provision a VPS for them and automatically migrate over the data.
This keeps your business running smoothly and avoids downtime.
We have some Resellers who have customers that get a lot of traffic during specific seasons such as holiday shopping. They will scale them up to a VPS for those months and then scale back when traffic levels off.
Which Is Best For Your Business?
As stated, I’d recommend starting with one of our Reseller hosting packages and then adding the VPS hosting as needed.
Our top Resellers not only have multiple reseller packages but also multiple virtual private servers.
That’s why we focus on relationship building here at Name Hero so you can grow your business as your revenue increases. Being a seasoned Internet Entrepreneur myself, I know how valuable capital is in startups and want to help you make the best use of your resources!
