How To Make A WordPress Website In 2017 The Easy Way

How To Make A WordPress Website In 2017 The Easy Way

I would say most all of our web hosting customers here at Name Hero use WordPress in some capacity.

Personally, I got started using the platform back in 2007 for a blog on my professional wrestling website.

Since then, it’s evolved becoming the world’s most used content management system.

Create a professional looking website

I believe the biggest advantage to using WordPress is you’re able to get a professional looking website online in a short amount of time without any coding knowledge.

My dad for example owns a self storage facility.  My brother was able to create him a website using WordPress and using the wp-admin area he’s able to login each month and make edits to his content including his prices, units available, etc.

He knows absolutely nothing about coding, websites, hosting, etc. but successfully has his business online with us here at Name Hero.  His website accounts for nearly 80% of all of his monthly payments!

Mobile device friendly

Having a mobile optimized website is no longer optional.  If your website doesn’t format correctly on mobile devices including smartphones and tablets, you’re going to be missing out on business.

Google has stated many times that websites that don’t format correctly will receive a drop in their search engine ranking positions.

The good thing about using WordPress, most all themes (the default and professional ones) are responsively coded; meaning they’ll work on whatever device your audience is using.

The Name Hero difference

There are hundreds of thousands of web hosts out there.  When I do competitive research I easily get overwhelmed at the number of companies offering WordPress hosting.

With that said, we do a lot of things “different” here at Name Hero, optimizing our entire infrastructure for 100% true managed cloud WordPress hosting:

Managed WordPress Hosting

  • LiteSpeed web server (9 times faster than Apache)
  • MariaDB database (mySQL drop-in, better performance)
  • Free SSL Certificates
  • Nightly Backups w/point-and-click restore
  • Nightly Malware Scanning w/removal
  • LiteSpeed caching plugin (fastest cache plugin on the market)
  • One-click WordPress install & updates

Unlike some of the “larger” WordPress hosting brands (i.e. WP-Engine, Pagely), our pricing starts at $3.47/month.  For individuals looking to host more than one WordPress website, I highly recommend our Reseller hosting packages.

How to make your website (step by step guide)

If you’re building your first WordPress website, I’ve filmed a video tutorial especially for you!  In the following video I explain step-by-step how to register your domain, setup your web hosting, install WordPress, and how to create your website with a professional looking design in under 20 minutes:
