How To Use cPanel To Configure FTP Clients

By Zlatan on February 4, 2015 0

Has anyone else noticed how easy cPanel has made it to setup FTP clients? When I was drafting material to be used on the Name Hero Knowledgebase, I was somewhat surprised to see how easy it’s become.

I guess I just never thought about using cPanel to configure my FTP clients — I had always just manually entered my details into Cute FTP. But check this out:

If you go into cPanel, it will automatically generate import files for FileZilla, CoreFTP and Cyberduck. I downloaded FileZilla for free, imported the config file and have been using it ever since.

I feel like this is an “easter egg” of sorts that I somehow didn’t realize was there.
