The most common pre-sale question we get from individuals and small businesses:
How many visitors per day can my server handle?
This is an extremely important question but also one that doesn’t have the same answer for everyone.
Start With Our Basic & Reseller Hosting
If you’re a local or small business expecting a couple hundred visitors to you website per day, you’ll be fine with our Basic Web Hosting packages.
If you have more than one website getting this much traffic then you should probably look into our Reseller Hosting packages.
All of our Basic Web Hosting and Reseller Hosting packages have the same account limits in terms of virtual memory, RAM, I/O usage, Inodes, etc.
From here, it all boils down to how your website is setup. If you’re using a standard installation of WordPress, you should be able to handle about 200 – 500 daily unique visitors quite easily.
However, if you’re using a poorly coded theme or a lot of different plugins, you may need to upgrade to your own Virtual Private Server (VPS).
High Speed WordPress VPS Hosting
We have built our VPS Hosting packages specifically for high volume WordPress websites.
For nearly a decade my identical twin brother and I operated a very popular professional wrestling website. We used a number of different content management systems over the years, including WordPress.
I specifically kept this experience in mind when developing our server-images.
Our Hero 2GB has been designed as a development/pre-launch server. If you’re still working on the development of your website, but know you plan on getting a lot of traffic to it, you should start with this VPS hosting package.
When you’re ready to go live you should first test with the Hero 4GB. It’s my “go to” VPS hosting package for any of my personal projects.
With it, you should be able to easily handle upwards of 2,500 unique daily visitors.
Automatically Scale On Demand
The biggest benefit to our high speed private cloud is the ability to scale your Virtual Private Server on the fly right inside of our interface.
With a couple of clicks, you can instantly upgrade your server; adding more disk space, RAM, and CPU processing power in minutes. There is only a brief period of downtime while the server reboots.
I filmed a brief tutorial just to demonstrate how quick and easy we make it:
Perfect Solution For eCommerce Websites
With Black Friday/ Cyber Monday coming up later this month, this is the perfect solution for those websites that are going to be experiencing a surge in daily unique visitors and orders.
My brother and I used to scale our server up prior to big WWE events such as pay per views. Trust me, there is nothing worse than a down website, especially when you’re getting a surge in traffic.
I also don’t recommend until the last second to adding the resources. It’s always best to do it during off-peak hours a couple hours ahead of time so the switch is flawless to your audience.
