How I Make $2,791.67 Per Month With The NameHero Affiliate Program

How I Make $2,791.67 Per Month With The NameHero Affiliate Program

I frequently get questions from people asking me to compare our Affiliate Program to our Reseller Hosting in terms of which one is the most lucrative.

To help determine this, I decided to create an affiliate account when we re-launched the program back last November, to see how many sales I could generate:

Now, it’s important to note, I never increased the payment tier since I’m obviously not paying myself, so the Total Earned To Date should actually be $16,750 (134 sales * $125).

How I Generated $2,791.67 Per Month

If you divide our that $16,750 by the six months I’ve been using this account, it equals out to $2,791.67 per month.

Not bad for the amount of work I put into it!

I generated these commissions by word of mouth, posting on social media/forums, and providing step-by-step tutorial.

Word Of Mouth

Word of mouth is one of the easiest ways to start earning affiliate commissions.

In my family alone I’ve had my dad, my brother, my uncle, and my cousin(s) buy hosting accounts as well as about 10 of my closest friends.

What I have found, nearly everyone I know, needs web hosting in some capacity or another.

Especially those that own a small business, they’re hungry for a fresh new web host.

The majority I sold too, were sick and tired of the lackluster support and uptime they were getting from other companies such as HostGator and BlueHost.  They welcomed my recommendation with open arms.

Using them as my base, they’ve also began recommending NameHero their friends/family which begins this “domino effect.”

Are you fully utilizing your contacts?  You’d be really surprised how far a Facebook message can go!

Social Media/Forum Posting

There are hundreds of thousands of Facebook and LinkedIn groups out there.

Unfortunately a lot of them are spam.  However, there are some that aren’t directly hosting related, where you can generate some sales.

For example, one of the Facebook groups I’m involved with is a community of WordPress developers.  Rather than “spamming” my offer, I’ve reached out individually to those I could help with issues and have simply recommended NameHero when the discussion comes up about hosting.

I’m not pushy or deceptive.  I help them fix their issue(s) and then explain the benefits behind high-speed cloud web hosting.

It works.

The same goes for forum posting.  There are a number of forums out there (not as powerful as social media in my opinion) that aren’t directly related to web hosting.

For example, one of the forums I post in deals strictly with Internet Marketing.  I’ve reached out individually to people having trouble setting up their Google or Facebook campaigns (or even SEO).  When the discussion comes up about how high-speed web hosting can help their conversion rate, I politely mention NameHero.

I’m not shoving it down their throat, I just make a recommendation based off what I see their goal is.

This is very powerful.

Think about forums where you can be helpful, add value, and make a solid recommendation.

Step-by-Step Tutorials

Have you ever been to websites like Udemy?

There are hundreds of similar websites where you can create an account and publish courses for free.

Inside these courses you can show people how to do something and include web hosting in the setup.

One of my most popular courses is on how to setup a basic WordPress blog with a professional looking design and SEO plugin.

I offer the course for free, but show the setup at NameHero.  It drives conversions!

You don’t have to be a professional videographer either.  Download software such as Camtasia or Screenflow and start cranking out content!

Don’t worry so much what the presentation looks like, just focus on being as useful and helpful as you can be!

People of all ages flood these websites looking to do what I consider simple, but it is difficult for them.

If you have experience setting up a website, that’s all you need to start making money!

Consistency Works

Using the combined three strategies, I’ve been able to generate the affiliate income I’ve mentioned.

The biggest tip I can give anyone is to be consistent.

I didn’t just setup one course on Udemy and recommend one family member to start earning.

I was consistent in my efforts and continue to add more each week.

Over time, you’ll find all of these methods begin to work collectively.

Keep Your Costs Low

The good thing about being an affiliate is you have very little overhead.

Some marketers choose to buy ads, but this really starts to cut into your profit margin, especially if buying ads on Google/Facebook.

While that can work, I prefer going the “organic route” as I don’t have to worry about spending anything (besides my screen recording software).

Difference In Our Reseller Hosting

Our Reseller Hosting is more geared for individuals and businesses looking to create a new business where they can collect money recurring.

It can be just as lucrative as our affiliate program, you just have to take the time to set it all up.

If you’re on the fence which is right for you, start promoting our affiliate program, and once you determine the marketing method that works best for you, transition to a Reseller.

I filmed a video tutorial where I compare the two directly:

We have tons of training material here on our blog to help you get started Reselling:
