For those unaware, yesterday the FCC announced their plan to slash net neutrality rules.
In very simple terms, this allows huge corporations such as Verizon, Comcast, etc. to block apps, slow websites, and charge fees to control what you see and what you do online.
In my opinion, the greatest thing about the Internet is it levels the playing ground between the individual and giant corporations. This is how I’ve been able to start all seven of my successful Internet businesses for the last two decades.
Even guys like Mark Zuckerberg would have had a severe handicap to creating Facebook if large corporations had this much control over the Internet.
If these plans go through the Internet will forever change and it will put all Entrepreneurs at a serious disadvantage.
There Is Still Hope
Thankfully, this still has to pass through congress, when they vote on December 14th.
You can let your voice be heard by calling your local representative and telling them you support “Title Two” net neutrality rules and would like to publicly oppose the FCC’s plan to repeal them.
BattleForTheNet will help you do all of this and will even give you the exact script to read.
Don’t delay, call right now, I personally just did before typing this post and am encouraging all my friends, family members, and readers to do the same.
Spread The Message
Imagine not being able to visit your favorite website or only being able to visit after you pay your Internet Service Provider more $$. This would be a nightmare!
After you call, pass this message along, and let’s stand up for the freedom of the Internet that we all love!
