About this time last year Ruck and I were hunkered down in my Florida home office working on turning IMGrind.com from a vision to a website. Today, we reach over 2,500 unique visitors on the blog and have a Private Community with over 500 active Affiliates, Advertisers, and Entrepreneurs. Interested in knowing our top three traffic sources? I’ve said them before, but incase you’ve missed them: Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, and THEN Google. Why? We have a VERY strong social media presence.
During our live events throughout the United States we’ve discussed how powerful social media can be when used efficiently. If webmasters would just take a couple of minutes and add the “share” buttons to their websites, landing pages, and campaigns they would noticed an almost an immediate increase in traffic. We like what our friends like. Even if I’m reading an article on CNN.com or ESPN.com and I enjoy it, I click the Facebook “like” or “share” button so my friends can see it.
This has been one of the ways we’ve been able to grow as quick as we have with monthly unique hits increasing every month. Today I came across an interesting infographic that displays the difference with the social media buttons and the audience they attract. Take a look at LinkedIn… I can’t tell you how many quality members we’ve brought into the Community and our Live Events by simply syndicating our content. So many people over look those little buttons, but I can assure you, they serve their purpose and one reason we are where we are today.
Here’s the infographic:
