Where you don’t know where to begin? Given the vast amount of opportunities to make money online, at times, many Entrepreneurs find it tough to sort through everything and get something running strong. Leaving projects unfinished can be just as bad as not even trying.
I have a rule that I always follow. If I spent eight hours developing a campaign I make sure I spend at least eight hours running/testing it. Second guessing yourself or being apprehensive running a campaign can not only hold you back but can kill your productivity and will ultimately make or break your career as an Internet Marketer.
One effective thing I do is physically write out a list of items I want to accomplish. I number them 1 – 10 (or however many) and cross them out with a pen as each gets completed. One of my lists may look like:
- Research Campaign & Complete Competitive Analysis
- Setup Domains, Web Hosting, And Tracking
- Develop Landing Pages
- Insert Offers
- Develop Traffic Strategy (Gather Keywords, Sort Into Ad Groups, And Write Creatives)
- Begin Traffic Distribution
As simple as it may seem, lists such as this one can allow you to make the most of your time and become an efficient Entrepreneur. Since the above list may take me 8 – 12 hours to complete (maybe more if it’s a comprehensive Lead Generation Arbitrage campaign) I then want to spend equal amount of time running the traffic and optimizing accordingly.
Especially in the Internet Marketing industry I see too many people that have GREAT ideas but have a helluva a time implementing their strategies. I can speak for myself when I say we never leave stuff unfinished. We see every project through and do it efficiently and effectively until we reach the level of success we desire. Top time wasters: Facebook, Refreshing Stats, Checking Emails, AIM, Phone Calls/Text Messages – add up the time you spend on these and REDUCE it. While these tools can be used effectively you need to make sure you use them EFFICIENTLY!
